Student Achievement and Success Data

In support of 惇蹋勛圖厙s mission of Preparing students, serving communities, creating opportunities for all, the College monitors student performance via key student achievement outcomes. These data are supplemented by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tied to the strategic plan.

The student achievement outcomes serve as standing measures of 惇蹋勛圖厙s effectiveness in fulfilling its mission.


Course Completions

Student Retention

Retention Definitions: Fall to Spring Retention is defined as non-completer students from the specified fall term who enrolled in the subsequent spring term, plus those who completed a degree or certificate in the specified fall term. Fall to Fall Retention is defined as non-completer students from the specified fall term who enrolled in the subsequent fall term, plus those who completed a degree or certificate in the specified fall term or subsequent spring and summer terms.

3-Year Completion Rates

For the Fall 2018 cohort, 28 percent of students completed within 150 percent of normal time. For the Fall 2019 cohort, the completion rate increases to 29 percent. For the Fall 2020 cohort, the completion rate remains at 29 percent. For the Fall 2021 cohort, the completion rate rises to 34 percent. For the Fall 2022 cohort, the completion rate increases further to 36 percent. Overall, the chart shows a gradual upward trend in completion rates over time, with notable growth beginning with the Fall 2021 cohort.Notes: Fall Cohorts are the IPEDS defined cohort of First-Time, Full-Time, Degree-Seeking students. Cohorts are based on enrollment on State Aid Day as per IPEDS reporting instead of End of Term. Completion rate is defined as 150% of normal time to complete the degree or certificate. For example, the normal completion time for an Associate of Arts degree is two academic years, so the 150% of normal time is three academic years.

Technical Skills Assessments Pass Rates

The three-year rolling average benchmark established by DHEWD is 90%. Please note not every program requires a Technical Skills Assessment.

Employment Placement Rates

For 20192020, 68 percent of completers reported finding employment in a related field after graduation. For 20202021, the reported employment rate declines to 59 percent. For 20212022, the rate decreases further to 56 percent. For 20222023, the reported employment rate increases to 67 percent. For 20232024, the rate is 66 percent. Overall, the chart shows a decline in reported related field employment between 20192020 and 20212022, followed by a recovery beginning in 20222023 and remaining relatively stable in 20232024.

Notes: Percentages are of students who completed a degree or certificate in a Perkins approved Career & Technical program and who responded to the Graduate Follow Up Survey as finding employment within a related field. Numbers are reported each year in accordance with compliance for Perkins funding.

Completers Who Transfer to 4-Year Institutions

The chart displays outcomes for fall cohorts from 2018 through 2022. For the Fall 2018 cohort, 15 percent of students completed and transferred within three years. For the Fall 2019 cohort, the rate remains at 15 percent. For the Fall 2020 cohort, the rate increases slightly to 16 percent. For the Fall 2021 cohort, the rate rises to 20 percent. For the Fall 2022 cohort, the rate remains at 20 percent. Overall, the chart shows a gradual increase in the percentage of students completing and transferring to a four year institution, with the most notable gains occurring between the Fall 2020 and Fall 2021 cohorts.
